This course is for those who likes to learn/improve the skills of throwing on the potter's wheel. We recommend to take introduction/beginner course before this as having some knowledge of handling clay at different stages helps.
We will start from the very basic yet important techniques of wedging. On the wheel we start from throwing simple shapes such as cylinder and bowl. You will also learn how to pull handles for mugs, cups and jugs, how to manipulate thrown shapes and how to apply surface decorations. Hopefully you will continue to learn throwing plates but we would like you to master the basics first.
The course will run every Monday evening 3 hrs between 1830 and 2130, for 10 weeks starting 14th May. It is for a small group of only 4 people and is aiming to be casual and creative atmosphere.
